This project involved designing custom apparel pieces honoring local heroes, tying sports to community storytelling.

For the NFL Hometown Heroes Collection, my goal was to challenge and elevate the conventions of traditional sports merchandise through intentional, design-led thinking. As a seasoned designer rooted in both streetwear and cultural storytelling, I saw an opportunity to bridge the emotional connection fans have with their teams and the visual language of contemporary fashion. We stripped the idea of team gear down to its essence and rebuilt it with narrative and identity at the forefront—using proportion, typography, and garment treatments that speak to authenticity and modernity. Every design decision—from the vintage washes to the oversized prints—was made to reflect the local pride of Indianapolis while positioning the collection in dialogue with today’s streetwear market. This wasn’t about slapping logos on tees; it was about reimagining what team allegiance could look and feel like in a fashion-forward context.
